| MITA SEMINAR
IN GLOBAL BUSINESS STRATEGY & ENTREPRENEURSHIP
This course examines current issues related to global business
strategy and entrepreneurship including positioning, assessment
of corporate strengths and weaknesses, identification of opportunities
and risks technological innovation, localization, marketing, joint
ventures, and global leadership styles. The first half of the
course focuses primarily on strategy. The second half of the course
focuses primarily on entrepreneurship and students will prepare
a business plan for starting a business of their own.
The course will be conducted as a seminar with lecture-discussions,
student group presentations, case studies, video segments, experiential
class activities, and research assignments.
This course is conducted entirely in English and enrollment is
limited to 15 students.

Course Guidelines and Assignments
- * 1. Attendance/Participation/Lectures: Regular on-time attendance
and participation in class is required. The lectures and presentations
will go beyond the book, rather than focusing on the book contents.
- * 2. Due Dates: All papers must be typed double-spaced, and
submitted in hard-copy on the due date. No late papers or electronic
submissions are accepted.
- * 3. Handouts/Assignments: No cover sheet is required for
assignments. Put name, student ID, and Faculty on the upper
right hand corner of all papers.
- * 4. Class Schedule Flexibility: The class schedule may change
due to additional topics of interest to be added and the schedule
of speakers. Changes will be announced in class.
